Tom Kelly - U-17 XPRESS Head Coach
With over 25 years of coaching experience, coach Kelly has built an impressive resume of accomplishments. In his 20 years as head coach of White Pass High School his girls teams have placed seven times in the State tournament and won two District Championships. In his two years as the head coach at River Ridge High School his girls team won the State Championship in 2010 and finished third at State in 2011. His outstanding coaching has been recognized by being honored as the Evergreen League Coach-of-the-year two times, 1A Coach-of-the-year two times, Lewis County All-Area Coach-of-the-year, and South Sound All-Area Coach-of-the-year.
Field Kline - U-17 XPRESS Head Coach
Coach Kline brings humor and enthusiasm to the Xpress program in addition to 17 years of coaching and training experience. His teams have qualified for six AAU National Championship Tournaments. Coach Kline has trained countless boys and girls that have gone on to earn high school All-League, All-District, All-State, League MVP awards and even All-American honors.
In his 25 years of coaching, Coach Viggers has a wide range of experience from youth teams to the collegiate level. He got his start as the head coach for the High School boys basketball program in Winlock, WA. From there he went on to be assistant coach for the Centralia College men’s basketball program for four years. After gaining that experience, he took over as the head coach of the women's program and over the next 12 seasons amassed a record of 253-103 which included six 20-win seasons. He built up the program into one of the elite community college programs in the NWAACC. During his tenure, his teams achieved a first place finish in the Western Division five times. He was named Coach of the Year for the North West Athletic Association of Community Colleges in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009.
His accomplishments as a player are equally impressive: An All-American selection in 1991 while playing for Concordia University as well as a stand out high school multi-sport athlete and All-State basketball selection while at Centralia High School.
Coach Viggers has a passion for developing players “the right way”, a term he often uses with his teams. During his time at Centralia College, he’s sent 26 players to the NWAACC Sophomore All-Star game, 23 of his players have continued their careers at four-year schools, and six of the last eight NWAACC West Division MVPs have played for Centralia. After stepping down from Centralia College in 2009, he has focused his energy on developing youth basketball players on both boys and girls teams which he has been doing for the past five years.
Dustin Workman - 5th & 6th Grade Boys Head Coach
Coach Workman has over 13 years of coaching experience at the high school level. He brings his knowledge and enthusiasm to our 5th grade Xpress program to teach our young athletes the skills and techniques needed to succeed as they progress through each level of play.
Coach Workmen was a multi-sport athlete at Mossyrock High School from 1996-2000 in which he participated in Football, Basketball, and Baseball.
Coach Workmen got his coaching start as the assistant boys basketball coach at Mossyrock High School in 2001. After two years there, he gained additional experience as the assistant boys basketball coach at Ellensburg High School during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. In 2008, Coach Workmen decided to return back to his Alma Mater and eventually took over as the head coach in 2010. Over the next five seasons, his teams consistently achieved success, making it to the State Tournament on three occasions. Most recently with a sixth place finish in the 2014 State Tournament.
His hobbies include: Hunting, fishing, coaching and sporting events.
